How long has Morgan been making brooms?

Morgan learned to make brooms in August of 2021. She took a 2 day workshop and immediately went home to order the supplies needed that couldn’t be purchased from the class. She expanded upon that knowledge by experimenting and watching youtube videos.

Does Morgan grow her own broomcorn?

No. Growing broomcorn is very labor intensive and takes years of experience to be able to produce a consistent crop. To ensure that she has the high quality material she needs, she purchases it from Caddy Supply Company. It is grown in Mexico.

Does Morgan dye her own broomcorn?

Yes! Mergstyle brooms require very high quality, straight pieces of broomcorn with fully saturated color. The only way to get all straight pieces is to sort and dye it herself! Morgan uses Rit powdered dye as it is septic safe.

How do I order a broom?

All brooms are listed in the shop on a first come, first served basis. If you’d like to be among the first to know what brooms will be added to the shop and when, sign up for the newsletter!

Does Morgan teach any classes or workshops?

She has in the past, and likely will again for the future, but currently doesn’t have any classes or workshops scheduled.

Will Morgan ever offer classes to make Mergstyle brooms?

There is a chance she will offer classes in the far distant future, but as of now, no.
